John DICKER Obituary

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, aged 89 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Eluned (Lyn), and loved partner of the late Ngaire, and Anthea. Dearly loved father of Gillian, the late David and Trine, and Neal and Kim. Loved Grandfather of Jeppe, Emily, Tirza, and Roslyn. Loved brother of Diane and the late Ron Higgins, and Hilary and Reg Upton. A funeral service for John will be held at St Michaels Anglican Church, 552 Waimea West Road, Brightwater, at 11.00am on Friday, September 5, followed by private cremation. Yesterday

I had dealings with John during my time with Andy Whiting Ltd back in the 1990s with gravel extraction and paddock restoration at his Waimea West farm. Spent many hours in Johns kitchen drinking cups of tea and chinwagging about life in general. A truly fine gentleman & friend to deal with over the years. Sending condolences to all his family at this sad time.

To Johns Family, I would like to pass on my condolences to you all at this sad time. I had not seen John in a long time but will always remember him . He grazed our cows for years. Joy James.
