So sorry to hear of John´s passing.
John was a great person and fellow designer. I have great memories of times spent with him at various conferences over many years.

In the late ´70, Myself, David, and Warren arranged a meeting and made the trip to Christchurch. This was to meet with the boys of the Ex MOW Architectural Division, initiating the "flame" and establish the first new FAD Branch outside of Auckland and the Waikato. At that meeting we had the great pleasure of meeting with John Chaplin (Nod). Over the last 50 years that relationship grew and "Nod" was one of the leading and dominant members that became a figure head of the Christchurch branch, as a mentor, and later on the national Executive following to become the New Zealand Leader of the organisation known today as the Architectural Designers of New Zealand; which later became ADNZ.
Today we look back on those incredible that moments we had and the very longstanding relationships trips away to conferences in NZ and overseas, and the friendship established with wives, and families, of which Eve was a very active part.
Today we honour John and hold our thoughts to his family for what he has established and contributed to us personally as a friend and the profession. We thank him for his sense of humour, his integrity, and his contribution to each of us. It has been a sincere privilege knowing you and your family John.
Blessing Eve and the rest of the Family
