On January 26, 2022, peacefully at Summerset at Avonhead, surrounded by his loving family, aged 79 years. Dearly loved husband of Adrienne, adored father and father-in-law of Nicola and Allan Hogg, Sarah and Eileen Davy, Kirsti and Kev Cowan. Beloved grandad of Jesse, and Ollie.

At John's request, a private celebration of his life was held yesterday.

Dear John's family,
Our sincere sympathy goes out to you all in the loss of John. Our families were close friends in Waimate for many years. I met him several times in Christchurch by chance and we had a great old reminisce of times past.
