Johanna ROZEN Obituary

(1933 – 2025)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Johanna Maria Rozen (née van Straalen) on January 6, 2025, at the age of 91. Johanna passed away at Parklane in Christchurch, surrounded by love and care. Beloved wife and soulmate of Herman Josef Rozen for an incredible 71 years, a milestone they celebrated together only weeks ago. Devoted mother to Felicity, Michael, and Greg, and cherished mother-in-law to Ian, Tanya, and Tracey. Proud and loving Oma to Monique, Kevin, Andrew, Gemma, Annabell, Charlotte, and Emelia, and Great-Oma to Connor and Hamish, Arlo, Finn and Danny, Francesca and Otis, Henry and Sophie. Johanna maintained close ties with her extended family in the Netherlands and they share their condolences. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at Parklane for their care, compassion, and support, as well as to the attending Dr Williamson for their kindness during Johanna's final days and their tremendous care and support of Herman. In accordance with Johanna's wishes, a private cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared by the family.
