Jocelyn DOUGLAS Obituary

On August 5, 2025, in the loving arms of her family. Aged 76 years. Dearly loved wife of Pete Douglas, much loved mum and mother-in-law of Emily and Jimmy, Tom and Katrien, Nick and Zoe, and Katie and James. Adored Bomma of her 11 grandchildren; Eva, Sophia, Charlie and Harry, Eleonora and Edmund, Arthur and Rowan, and Florence, Imogen and Pieta. Loved daughter of the late Joyce and Ken Readman, and sister of Janet (deceased), Vivien and Helen. A celebration of Joc's life will be held on Friday, August 29, at 4.00pm, at The Great Hall, Christchurch Arts Centre.

Dear Pete,

Les was very sorry to hear of Joss's passing. It is a long time since you and he last met, but he remembers Joss and your wedding well, complete with Alpine Club ice axes used as a Guard of Honour. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting you or Joss, but both Les and Linsday speak very fondly of you both. Unfortunately, Les and I won't be able to attend Joss's service due to Les's own health issues, but we send our sincere sympathy and love to you and the family. We know this is a blow come too soon but hope the love and respect in which Joss was held will ease your sadness.
