Herbert HAWKINS Obituary

HAWKINS, Herbert WWII veteran passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at Campbell House on Monday, October 29, 2018 in his 96th year. Herb, loving husband of Joan (nee Gray) for over 62 years will be forever remembered by his daughters Lisa Hill (Steve Hale), Pam Hawkins and Tracy McNichol (Jim); grandchildren Misha, Jonathan (Katelynn), Bradley (Kandas), Ali (James), Sam (Kadie) and Erik (Stephanie) and great-grandchildren Sophia, Kya, Ethan, Rilynn, Ben, Emma, Connor and Phoenix. Herb was born in Hamilton, ON to parents the late Vernon and Celeste Hawkins, he is predeceased by his brothers Harry, Don and Bob and sister Dorothy. A Celebration of Herb's Life will be held at the Leisure Time Club, 100 Minnesota St. in Collingwood on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 1 - 4:30 p.m. with remembrances at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Georgian Triangle or Amnesty International would be appreciated by the family.
