Very sorry to read of Jo's passing. She influenced my youth/faith throughout the mid 1990's while she served at St Peters Anglican in Nelson alongside Rev Julian Dobbs. I had the pleasure of mowing Jo's very large lawn each week and receiving some pocket money for my troubles. She was always up for a chat, and a pleasure to know. RIP Jo

I have so enjoyed seeing Joanne again in Hanmer. We have shared some good memories about growing up in Grassmere Street, our schooling and Teacher's College. I feel so sad for you Brent and David, Stephen and Greg. Taken far too soon and should have had years ahead of her. Joanne will be at peace now.

Jo was a true disciple of Jesus. She always spoke with a laugh in her voice and a smile on her face. She visited me several times when I was in hospital and I felt so blessed by her sunny, godly presence. In weekly services her laugh would ring out and her beautiful strong confident singing voice would lead the congregation. Her sermons were easy to listen to, but so deep in the thoughts and truths she conveyed to us. I feel so blessed to have known you Jo.
'Well done, good and faithful servant, enter now into the joy of your Lord.' Matt 25:23. Jo will be singing with the Angels and there'll be no more pain, no more sorrow for her.
