Died peacefully aged 82 on January 30, 2026. Only child of Joyce and John Clyne once of Timaru. Dearly loved mother of Rupert, Tim and Caroline. Mother-in-law of Peta, Jacinda and Neil. Grandmother of Harry, Willow, Mac, Archie, Hunter, Ollie, Charlie and Oscar. Step-mother of Anna. Loved by her godchildren and her many friends. A private cremation has been held. Messages to the family.

My Parents - Jean & Doug Stewart were great friends of Joyce & John Clyne in Timaru so Joanna & I often played together. My Family moved to Rotorua when I was seven so we gradually lost touch. Seeing Joanna's death notice brought back a lot of memories. So sorry. Helen Weston (Stewart)

I think this was the Jo Clyne who was a "house mistress" at Columba College in Dunedin in the mid 1960's? Miss Clyne was a lovely person, supporting homesick boarders leaving home for the first time. She was cheerful and understanding and a lot of fun; we did appreciate her presence in Junior House. Thank you, Miss Clyne!

I wish to offer to offer my condolences for your recent loss
My grandfather George Class Clyne,who arrived in NZ in the early 1920s from Wick ,Scotland had a brother John who lived in Timaru,who I met a couple of times maybe 50 years ago.
