Peacefully on November 20, 2022 at home, surrounded by family. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Vanessa and Mathew, Susie and Paul. Loved grandmother of Duncan, Lilly and Evie. Loved sister of Peter Wilkins (Sydney), Margaret Mitchell (Auckland), and Helen and Tony Byrne (Oamaru).

Saddened to read of Joan's passing. To Vanessa and Susie and families our deepest Sympathy. I nursed with Joan at Wairau Hospital and was also a fellow member of Toastmistress with her. A lovely friend gone but will be remembered.
