Joan EADY Obituary

Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Diana Isaac Retirement Village on Saturday, November 8, 2025, aged 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Brian. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Julianne, Peter and Kaye, Michael and Leanne. Much loved grandmother of Rachael and Philip, Tamzin, Matthew, and Olivia. Loved Great-Nana Joanie to Thea, Asher, Ezra and Tovah. A loved aunty to her many nieces and nephews.

Many thanks to the staff at Diana Isaac for all their loving care of Joan. Messages to the family of Joan Eady c/- PO Box 26051, North Avon, Christchurch 8148. A Requiem Mass for Joan will be celebrated at St Mary's Pro Cathedral, 373 Manchester Street, Tomorrow (Wednesday), at 1.00pm, followed by burial in Avonhead Memorial Cemetery. Rosary at Church, today (Tuesday), at 5.00pm.

It was a shock for me to check the notices and learn of dear Joan's death. I have been intending to call and see her but have had a few setbacks myself. My very sincere sympathy to all Joan and Brian's family and I hope to be able to attend the funeral. With love and prayers. John Darby

Very sad to read this morning that Joan had passed away. I knew Joan from golfing days at Templeton . I will cherish our games we played together. She truly was a lovely lady who will be dearly missed. Thoughts & prayers are with you all now & in the days ahead. RIP Joan x
