Jo RENDALL Obituary

RENDALL, Jo:
On January 21, 2022, passed away peacefully at home with family. With respect and aroha we honour the life and significant contribution of Jo Rendall to our early years community in Aotearoa. Jo is a treasure, our taonga and wahine toa - a mentor, friend, kaiako, leader, lecturer, manager and inspiration to so many. Due to the current Covid restrictions a small number of us have been invited to represent early years whānau at the memorial to be held on Thursday, January 27 at 11.30am. To watch a livestream of the service, please go to lambandhayward.co.nz/obituaries and click on the link in Jo's obituary.
Kia hora te marino
Kia whakapapa pounamu te moana
hei huarahi mō tātou i te rangi nei
Aroha atu, aroha mai
tātou i a tātou katoa

May peace be widespread
May the sea be like greenstone
A pathway for us all this day
Let us show respect for each other

Dear Rendall Family, Please accept my sincerest condolences for your sudden loss of Jo. As her massage therapist I got to know her quite well over the years. I always admired Jo for her zest for life and her kindness and compassion towards others. I am stricken by her sudden illness and death and cannot begin to imagine what you must feel like at this moment. Jo's life got tragically cut short, however it was a full life from what I can see and this is something we can learn to be grateful for. I am also glad that Jo was able to pass away in the circle of her family and was spared the sadness of a slow death in a hospice. My thoughts are with you. Kindest regards from Verena
