I am her oldest granddaughter. Life is much harder without you. and a year and a half later, it feels like years have passed, but at the same time, it feels like yesterday. I think it's finally time to let myself feel it. Goodbye for now.

Our sincere condolences to Jill´s children, her mother Gwen, sister Celia, brother Malc and their families.

A very big thank you to Malc for making contact with us - in what turned out to be a final update on Jill´s health.

My husband Peter and I were Gwen & Will´s neighbours in Nelson from 1986 until Gwen moved to Christchurch following Willis´s death.

During the many weeks of the first Covid lockdown we appreciated Jill including us in her grocery shopping trips and enjoyed the cheerful chats with her over their back fence.

Great memories of the whole family.

Dearest Jill.

You were the most beautiful person, inside and out. We saw Christ through you Jill. You and Trev were so very good to me in the late 70's and early 1980's when you were living in Nelson. When my mother didn't want me in her house you two took me in and got me on my feet with a job and a lovely flat to rent. Jill, I remember how you came around to give me some one on one time - and how I treasure that time spent with you. The two of you gave genuine love without judgement and my life was the richer for that. Whenever we met in later years there was still that unconditional love, it never wavered. The love of Christ.....you two were two Christians on this earth and now you will be being rewarded for that in heaven. I love the both of you so very much! I miss you both.

To Gwen...my thoughts are with you and my heart hurts with yours. You and Will raised such a beautiful person in Jill. We love you all.

To Nick, Kate, Simon and Sarah and all of your children...my heart is with you and you are all in my thoughts. You had the most amazing parents who were loved so much by so many. Jill and Trev will have been so very proud of you all and I know you'll be living lives that emulate theirs. They live on through you all and in our memories.

I have a small video clip of you all from 1993 and a few photo's if you wish to contact me at some stage. [email protected]. I'm the eldest sister to Mike and Tim Cooper and I'm back living in Nelson.
