Captain, Royal New Zealand Nursing Core, 30838, and Vietnam veteran. Jill passed away peacefully in Wellington Hospital on February 17, 2023 and is now at well-earned rest after a life dedicated to caring for others. Jill is the loved mother of the late Herb, mother and mother-in-law of Sandra and Gordon, and grandmother of her adored Cameron. Very much-loved daughter of the late Rene and George Murphy of Raumati. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Helen and Barry, Michael and Kath, Graham and Judith. A private cremation has taken place at Kapiti Coast Funeral Home. Condolences to Murphy Family, 12 Fuchsia Place, Blenheim 7201.

My sincere sympathy to all of Jill´s family and friends.
I worked with Jill for a time in Wellington when she came up from Blenheim and during some of our chats, learnt about her nursing career and some of her personal life. She was a brave lady. I know she found much pleasure living near her daughter and grandson.
