Jill McNEIL Obituary

On Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Chatswood Retirement Village, aged 90 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Keith and treasured mother of Kathryn, Fiona and son-in-law Donal Boyle. Much loved Sugar of Brianagh and Róisín Boyle. Loved eldest daughter of the late LJO (Bunny) and Kathleen Arthur; sister of the late Garry Arthur, Jenny Monks and Helen Sullivan. Loved aunt and great aunt, and friend to many. Sincere thanks to all the staff at Chatswood for their gentle loving care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations to Nurse Maude would be appreciated and can be made directly online at nursemaude.org.nz. Messages to the McNeil family, C/- PO Box 26051, North Avon, Christchurch 8148. A service to celebrate Jill's life will be held at the John Rhind Chapel, entry from London or Whitmore Streets, Christchurch, on Wednesday, January 14, at 10.00am.

Very fond memories of our caravan safari days, Mum and Dad were founding members, and made Kel and Me very welcome, and showed us the ropes to camping life. I hold these memories very dear to my heart. Sorry I was unable to be with you on Wednesday, as I have just got back to Christchurch from Australia. Have Dad´s photo displayed being red carded with Kel, & Graeme Mac, by Graham Pilkington the day they played their last game at Templeton golf club. Lots of fun. Rest in peace Jill, united again with Keith. Love. Ann Doolan
