Jeremy FERON Obituary

FERON, Jeremy Alban:
Passed away after a brief illness, in Christchurch, on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. Aged 78 years. Jeremy was born on May 28, 1944, to Walter and Mabel Feron, of Christchurch, and went on to lead a rather interesting, and somewhat adventurous life. After finishing his academic journey at St Andrew's, he flew to Papua New Guinea This is where he began to share his time between PNG and NZ. Papua New Guinea is where he met his first wife. He bore two sons, Patrick and Roger, as well as followed various other pursuits, the main; serving in the military for 20 years. Not much else is known about his time in Papua New Guinea before 1987. By this time he had remarried and had two daughters while in PNG. Shortly after the birth of his 2nd daughter, they flew back to reside in Christchurch with his parents before shifting to Kaikoura Kaikoura got to know Jeremy as an interesting character, a hard-working, single father of his two daughters. He made sure he was always there to support his girls through their academic and sporting events. You could always hear him yelling from the sidelines! He always had time for those who met him in the street, and always had time for a beer! From 2005, he packed up and travelled back to Sydenham, Christchurch... not long after his move back to his hometown he met Teisa, who would later become his wife, followed shortly by the arrival of his first grand-child gifting him another title; Grandad. And the rest you can say is history. Jeremy Feron, joins his mother, father and his eldest son in the afterlife free of his earthly bonds. He walks strong amongst the greatest, forever watching over his beloved wife Teisa, and his surviving children, Essentia and Deborah, and his grandchildren: Deiwa, Kaiiva, Avea, Michelle and Taryn. The Funeral Service for Jeremy will be held at The Palmer Chapel, 150 Harewood Road, Papanui, on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 10.30am, followed by a private cremation at The North Canterbury Crematorium.
