Jennifer HOPKINS Obituary

On April 7, 2026, passed away peacefully at Ballarat Care Home, Rangiora, in her 90th year. Dearly beloved wife of the late Garey, treasured mother and mother-in-law of Steven (deceased) and Khamsay, Michael and Julie, Andrew and Leanne, Joanna and Brett, loving grandmother of Philip, Johnathon, James, Ethan, Victoria, and Isaac. A much loved sister-in-law and aunt.

I have only known Jennifer for about the last 18 months at Ballarat Carehome. As my husband is in there.
Every day, I would also make a point to say, "hello to Jennifer."
Often we would look at her cute little photo album & I enjoyed Jennifer reminiscing of the good times.
To me, Jennifer had a beautiful soul & was very intuitive with what was going on.
I will never forget this beautiful lady. We had a lot of laughs together & often I would come in from outside & say, "I've got cold hands" and Jennifer always replied, "cold hands - warm heart!"
Jennifer's heart was always warm to me.
Miss you!

Jenny and I worked together over many years, firstly at Kirkwood Avenue Rest Home and Hospital, and then at Sterile Services Christchurch Hospital.Sincere sympathies to the family on Jenny´s passing.

Worked with Jenny at the CSSD Dept many years ago. We shared the weekend day shift. There were only the two of us on that shift, we got on well and I enjoyed her company and we shared many family confidences and life in general. Condolences to her family.
