Jennifer COMLEY Obituary

On December 27, 2025, passed away peacefully, aged 83 years. Dearly loved wife of the late David, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Nicky and Ralph, Jill and Grant, Philip and Chris, loving Nana of Charlotte, Bella, Polly, Jonathon, Christiaan, and Courtney, loving Great-Nana to Matthew, Anastazija, Alastair, loved sister and sister-in-law of Sylve and Ted, Ian and Sylvia; Peter and Wendy, and a much loved aunty to all her nieces and nephews and a dear friend to many.
"A gentle beautiful soul gone, but never forgotten"
Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Jenni Comley, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to the to All Souls Children's Pyjama Fund would be appreciated. This was a charity that was very dear to Jenni. You can either bring some PJ's or leave a donation at the service. A memorial service to celebrate Jenni's life will be held at All Souls Anglican Church, 30 Church Lane, Merivale, on Monday, January 12, at 2.00pm.

Jenni and David were our neighbors in Warrington St. for several years. We were so saddend to read of Jenni´s death.
Yout family were such lovely neighbours over our southern boundary and our children spent a lot of time playing in the parking area directly to the north of her and on the spare section. I think there would have been about 8 or even 10 kids between our 5 families.
One day I said to Jenni I hoped they were not too noisy and her reply was that she was never bothered by the sound of children enjoying themselves, which was typical of her and so kind.

I remember Jenny at St. Stephen´s as a very sweet, kind friend, with a good sense of humour. She got me my first demonstrating job with the Dairy Board. Condolences to the family.
