BARGROVE,
Jennifer Mary (née Purdie):
After a courageous battle with cancer, on April 16, 2018, peacefully at Christchurch Hospital surrounded by her loving family, aged 45 years. Dearly loved mother of Luke, and Robbie, and friend of Grant. Beloved daughter of Chris and the late Andrew Purdie. Loved and respected stepdaughter of Don. Dearly loved sister and sister-in-law of Mike and Gillian, and aunt of baby Max. Lover and caretaker of all animals, particularly her cat 'Piko', and dogs 'Ratty', and 'Jakey'. Special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and Specialists who have cared for her. Messages may be addressed to the family of the late Jennifer Bargrove, c/- PO Box 10345, Christchurch 8145. In lieu of flowers donations to the Christchurch District Health Board (to be directed to the Christchurch Hospital Ward 26 Patient Comfort Fund and Nurses Education Fund) may be made at the service and online at bit.ly/jmbargrove1604 A celebration of Jennifer's life will be held at St Stephen's Anglican Church, 1 James Street, Lincoln, on Saturday, April 21, at 2.00pm. Private cremation thereafter.

Dear Luke and Robbie, I am so sorry we missed the funeral for your gorgeous Mum. Logan is still on Space Camp and the rest of the family were in Wellington. To Robbie and Luke and family,
I wanted to share a wonderful memory of the time with your mum, which for me demonstrates her great sense of humour. When we went to Melbourne two days after receiving some difficult news of her health. She was given some money and instructed to buy something for herself. After many hours shopping , around lectures of course, she found the perfect gift. Instead of telling her mum she sent clues and camouflaged pictures of her items and had so much fun and laughter doing so. And of course she also bought something for you both! This was just one of many funny times I spent with your mum. I will deeply miss her and my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Much love

Luke Robbie & Grant....I am deeply saddened to hear that Jennifer has passed away.....I have known Jennifer since Robbie was a baby...and I know that her boys were her world and that she loved you beyond measure..and is extremely proud of you both....I know that if love alone could have saved her....she would be here.....please know that I am thinking of you all during this time of grief
