Jennie Duda Obituary

Jennie M. Duda, 84, of Belle Vernon (Fairhope), died Thursday, April 13, 2006, in Mon Valley Hospital Inc., Carroll Township. She was born March 5, 1922, in Fayette City, a daughter of the late William and Lula Layton Park. She was a member of Marion Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder and deacon at one time, and Center on the Hill and Striketts Bowling League at Lynnwood Lanes. Surviving are daughter, Mary Lou Price and husband, Thomas, with whom she made her home, and son, Edward J. Duda, all of Belle Vernon (Fairhope). Also survived by seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl M. Duda; son, Carl Wayne Duda; brother, William Park; and two sisters, Emma Kennedy and Mabel Bukoski. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and until 11 a.m. Monday, the hour of services, in the ELEY/McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main St., Fayette City, with Pastor Robert Prinkey officiating.
