A special thank you to Shirley, Nicholas and Tracy with Cordelia and Christopher; Timothy, Sophie, and Owen. To my dear friends, you all made my journey easier. At my request I will not be having a funeral but would like you all to have a bet on the horses and think of me.

Aunty Jenny was a one-off.
Worldly but always interested in family, she was one of life's enduring characters. Strong-willed from an early age, her determination, wit carried her around the world and saw her brush aside several 'terminal' diagnoses.

One thing that always impressed me as a kid was that she'd swum from Sumner to Brighton Spit and back and had even swum over a mile into the estuary... I also remember her feeing the huge eels at Beachville Rd by hand and thinking 'those eels wouldn't dare bite her!'
