Jean Barrie (nee Gardiner):
Jean passed away peacefully on November 22, 2022, surrounded by her loving family, aged 87 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Bruce, loved step mum of Lee, special, and treasured Nana of Milly, much loved 'AJ" to Maria, and Linda, loved by her brothers and sisters, and nephews and nieces in the UK, special friend to Ady.
'You are forever with us.'
Jean devoted all of her life to caring for others. After training as a Registered Nurse and Midwife in Portsmouth, she spent time working in Canada before settling in New Zealand with her sister Babs. She had a long life caring for others, and is now reunited with her beloved family and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Palm Grove Retirement Village, and to ward 18 Christchurch Hospital. A private cremation has been held, and as per Jean's wishes, her ashes will be interred with her loving Bruce at All Saints Church. Messages to 115a Wilsons Road, Christchurch.

Sorry to hear of Jean's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Jean was a long time friend of my family in Canada.
