Mark Webster (Pharmacist)
September 26, 2025
I first met Jean as a young intern pharmacist in 1990 at Taveners Pharmacy, and we remain in regular contact until the last couple of years when she changed doctors and decided to change pharmacies as well. (But still would send me text messages every few weeks telling me she was alive!)
When Jean's mother passed away, most thought that Jean would not live much longer, but she proved others wrong, and far exceeded everyone's predictions.
She was no fool, and quite astute. She was generally well engaged with her health, and in the earlier days, if we didn't see or hear from her every weekly/fortnightly we knew something might be up and would get in touch. She was very proud of the prizes her cats would get at the cat shows, and would bring in the ribbons and certificates to show me.
I will miss her humor and her cheeky personality, and I am also genuinely sorry to have missed her memorial yesterday as I would have liked to attend and share some other memories with her friends and family. Condolences to her family and friends. She is missed by many

Loved sister of Robert. Much loved aunty of Sarah and Melissa, in Australia. Your memory will forever connect us, no matter the distance.

Loved sister and sister-in-law of Jim and Rohanne. Much loved aunty of Craig, Rebecca, Nathan, and Kimberley, and remembered with love by her great-nieces and great-nephews. Jean's memory will live on with family in both New Zealand and Australia.
Forever in our hearts.
