I am so sorry to hear of Jan´s passing. Jan & I started at Social Welfare nearly 40yrs ago within months of each other. I have the most wonderful, fun memories of the times I spent with Jan at work & socialising.
Jan was a great support to me in those early years (I was just in my late teens) to the time she retired.
I will never forget Jan and will always remember her kindness & laughter.
Thinking of you all at this very sad time

I started working with Jan in 1999 at WINZ. Jan took me under her wing, guiding me every step of the way. Most lunch breaks involved clothes shopping for colorful outfits as Jan loved to dress beautifully for work.
We become very good friends and Jan was always kind and supportive to me on all
areas of my life. She introduced me to growing Begonias and I have dozens of them still. The skills and tips Jan taught me were endless. Jan went through lots with me on my lifes journey from when I met Richard, getting married, getting our dog,buying our first home together and Richard's ill health over the years, Jan was always a phone call away.
I have many happy memories or our friendship. Thank you Jan for being so kind and showing me how precious friendship is.
Even though life got in the way and we hadn't seen each other for awhile I never forgot you Jan. Rest easy from Lizzy and the late Richard Olsen
