SPENCE, Janet Mary:
Grateful to the end, Jan died on January 11, 2023, in her Rotorua home, at the age of 92, cared for by family. Wife of the late James (Jim). Loving and supportive mother of Helen and Craig, Anne, Jenny; nana of Kate and Chris, Ben and Charlotte, Ollie and Steph, Alex and Melissa, Nicole and Jirka, Tasha, Mick and Steph, Zach and Georgia, Jake and Esther, Joe and Liana, Eli, Dan and Emma, Reuben, Shem and Jordis; great-nana of Leo, Peyton, Beau, and two more on the way. A dedicated teacher at heart until the age of 86, including many years at Burnside High School. Her tinkly laugh made us all happy, including the neighbours who could hear it from next door. In lieu of flowers, Jan requested donations be made to Rotorua Hospice https://rotoruahospice.co.nz/donate/ A celebration of Jan's life will be held privately.
