Jamie Heathcote:
On October 30, 2020, at Nurse Maude Hospice, aged 55 years. Much loved partner of Janine, loved son of Gillian and the late Miles, and son-in-law of Gay and Graham. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Simon and Megan, Andrew (deceased), Hamish and Bianca, Annabel and Phil; loved brother-in-law of Leanne and Brent, Sheena and Rob, adored uncle of Luke, and Alexandra; Dion; Will, Henry, Tom, and Poppy; George, and Lily; Olivia, and Thomas.

Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Nurse Maude Hospice and Ward 26, Christchurch Hospital. A Celebration of Jamie's life will be held at a later date.

I knew Jamie from school, and later from Mt Cheeseman. We spent many great time - in the day, skiing Cockayne powder, in the evenings sharing stories. I was so sad to hear this news and only wish I'd stayed in better touch. The great philosopher Keanu Reeves was once asked what happens to us after we die, and answered something like, 'I know that those who love us will miss us.' I miss you Jamie.

I am so sorry to hear of Jamie's passing. I briefly got to know him again while working at the Hospital and remember him and your family from our childhood in Akaroa. We unfortunately sharing a cancer journey. My sincerest condolences to you all.
