James William "Jim" SHERWIN

James SHERWIN Obituary

On Thursday, December 25, 2025, peacefully at home, surrounded by family. Aged 100. Born in Oamaru to Alfred and Caroline Sherwin. A dearly loved and highly respected husband of Valda (d. 1999) father and father-in-law of Vicki and Jeff Bailey, grandfather of Matthew, Hayden, Chris, and Lauren, great-grandfather of thirteen children and a much-loved uncle. Jim will be cremated with private gatherings to honour his life in Christchurch and Oamaru on dates yet to be determined.

My condolences to you Vicki. Such a great age. I have such fond memories of growing up together and Avon St days and your Dad in his uniform. I also remember the lovely cribby days at Gemmell´s Crossing with your parents.
So sad for you saying goodbye, but, hopefully, with a life time of wonderful, happy memories for you and your family.
