James Peter (Jamie):
On June 17, 2021, at Leslie Groves Home and Hospital, surrounded by his family; aged 69 years. Loved and cherished Dad and friend of Kirsten and Stew, Vanessa and Dom, and Jeremy and Tori, amazing Grandad of Emily, Zac, Jake, Ben and Caitlyn; Liam, Joshua and Nicholas; Jayden, Molly, and Casey, much loved son of the late Jim and Violet, loved brother of Madeleine, and the late Colin. A celebration of Jamie's life will be held in the Wanaka Presbyterian Community Church, 91 Tenby Street, Wanaka, on Friday, June 25 at 1.00pm, followed by interment in the Wanaka Cemetery. Messages to 446 Cardrona Valley Road, Wanaka 9382.

Jamie you will always be remembered as a gentle and generous man. I loved your connection with nature, with animals and of course with music. You made a massive contribution to our community, and you were just one of the good guys.

With warmest love at this time to my dear sister in law Kirsten, and her siblings, Vanessa and Jeremy and their families. I am so sorry for the loss of your dear dad. I remember him jamming away on his guitar at your wedding at seacliff, the life and soul of the party. He will be playing with the greats now!

Dear Jamie, Colin and I were so pleased to know you as the father of Kirsten, our dear daughter in law. We thank you for welcoming us into your family and for sharing some fun, which we know you loved to have. Colin will never forget his first best trout catch from the stern of your boat on Lake Wanaka, it made his day for which we thank you and will never be forgotten.
