James PATTERSON Obituary

On December 13, 2023, with family by his side. Loving and devoted husband of Joy. Treasured father and father-in-law of Gillian, Brian, Nicholas and Robyn. Much loved grandfather of his granddaughters. Our heartfelt thanks to all those who cared for our precious Dad. In accordance with Jim's wishes a private cremation has been held.

A lovely man.
Jim would have been the very last in the generation of the many grand children of James and Jane Patterson who were our pioneering family that came out from Scotland to Tuapeka mouth in South Otago in 1865.
I have only met Jim and Joy a couple of times with my late father, Bill Patterson (Oamaru).
They came to dads 90th birthday at Anthony Wilding rest home about 10 years ago and we all had a lovely time.
I have quite a bit of the old family history if any of you want to share.
