James MITCHELL Obituary

Passed away peacefully, in the company of his loving family, in Greymouth on July 31, 2024, age 75. Dearly loved husband of Jenny, legendary dad and father-in-law of Natasha and John, Katie and Andrew, Cameron and Carina, and Emma and Banjo, cherished Grandad Jim of Callum, Madeleine, Klaudia, Reuben, Isabella, Marlie-May, and Iyla. A top bloke who will be missed by all. Messages to 1313 Coast Road, RD1, Runanga 7873. Flowers respectfully declined, donations to the Blind Foundation would be appreciated and can be made at the chapel or online at blindlowvision.org.nz. A Service to celebrate Jim's life will be held in the William Sampson Memorial Chapel, Tainui St, Greymouth on Monday, August 5, at 2.00pm, followed by cremation on the Coast at the Westland Crematorium.

Dear Jenny & family.
What a wonderful man.
A true Coaster, full of fun & laughs, who always had time for everyone & made you feel welcome. I want to thank Jim for being like a father & friend to Banjo/ Pete & welcoming him into your family. Of course he is going to be missed but never forgotten. All my love & condolences to you all. xoxox

Dearest Jenny, So sorry to read of James passing. He was always such a lovely man and so kind - I remember as a young child. Molly thought the sun shone out of James (and you) she always spoke so highly of him.. Sending you sympathy and love. Angie Coull (Molly's niece)
