So sad to hear of cousin Jimmy´s passing so soon after receiving a letter from him letting me know that Maria was in Ireland and hoping we would meet up with her. Unfortunately we didn´t meet this time as Maria rushed back to be with the family.
Lesley and I met Jimmy at Alice and Ian´s house in Riccarton a few years ago when we also met Zana. At that time Jimmy was on the school run, still helping family out. A lovely man and a dotting Grandfather. We will remember him always.

It was with great sadness we learnt about the death of Jim. Our sympathy goes to the entire family. He was a well treasured family friend of my mother-in-law, sharing many happy memories as neighbors in Sumner those years ago, and a sponsor for my husband during his confirmation during his teen years. He shared many fascinating stories with him. I came to know Jim through my mother-in-law and husband but also through caring for him at our practice the last few months. He touched the lives of all of us with his caring and thoughtful ways. He always had a smile for everyone and let you feel at ease. He was loved by all of us. Family was his priority. He was proud of you all and all you've achieved, and he always talked about his grand kids. Spending time with them and doing the short drive to drop or pick them up from school. I can't imagine your pain at this time, but he is at peace now and now more than ever, he will be closer to you as you will forever carry him in your hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. With much love. The Murphy Family and the team at Linwood Medical Center.
