Dear Aunty Mary and Mae

Our Heartfelt sympathies to you at this sad time. We are shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the demise of our Beloved Uncle Jimmy.
I still remember so clearly his kindly face and caring nature. His sincerity and generosity will always be remembered when we visited you in NZ in 2016. He will be deeply missed.
Robert and I have spoken and thought about both Uncle Jimmy and Aunty Mary many many times, and hoped to make another visit. We are so sad that we will be unable to see him again.
You both will always be in our thoughts, and pray that the Lord will grant you peace and comfort in this difficult time.
Do let us know if we can help in any way.
Love Elaine, Robert, Alastair and Amelia.

From far away (Singapore) we can hear your voice reminding us to eat well, teaching Zee Yee (2nd auntie) how to do the Tai Qi exercises. Your endless care and concern for her has always been a motivation and good reminder for her to be well and in return she wants to show off to you that she has always been exercising and can do it (though it´s a lie)
Remembered when we arrived at Christchurch and saw that you had driven your Rover to come fetch us from the Airport. It was wow for Zee Yee, laughing with delight and wondered `how am I going to get into the Rover´ .... Fear not for James is here!!! Very quickly with your magic hands you took out a little stool from the booth and like a Princess, Zee Yee was helped up onto your Rover. You must then have been her Prince Charming.
A golden heart stopped beating. A pair of hard working hands put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us that he has taken one of the BEST.
Your always exceedingly love and care will be missed; however your smile will always be a light in our hearts.
James, thank you and we love you.

I'll forever cherish all the memories of growing up getting to know him through his daughter Mae during Rangi Ruru days and at the property outside Ohoka/Kaiapoi, teaching Scout how to behave. With his kindness and big smile every time I see him, he will be greatly missed. May his soul rest in peace and may God grant you the strength to endure this great pain, Ameen.

Dear Aunty Mary and Mae,

It's with great shock and grief to hear the passing of Uncle Jimmy. He cared for me even when I was a student in UK. He would try to meet me or get things sent to me from his UK office.
He would chat often with my dad 15 years older than him as he worried about him being on his own.
He was a responsible and loving husband, father, brother in law and uncle to his nieces nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed. God spared him much suffering. He will now be in the company of angels although we will miss him dearly, God has better plans for him.

May the words of God comfort Aunt Mary and Mae

Lovingly,

Karen, Kiara, Kiren and Kirri-Anne
