James HUNTER Obituary
HUNTER, James Graham:
Graham died peacefully at his home in Reefton on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, in his 88th year. Dearly loved husband of the late Frances, adored father and father-in-law of Lynette and Peter Havill (Nelson), Bruce and Nadine (Nelson), and Angela and Darrin Ranger (Chch), awesome "Grandad Graham" of Jared and Janelle Havill, Ollie, Jamie and Mattie Hunter, and Brock and Cade Ranger, loved brother and brother-in-law of Marj and the late Trevor Kelly, and John and Colleen, and a loved and respected uncle and friend to many, and an honoured Gold Star Member of Reefton Fire Brigade.
"The road was long and varied, travelled to the fullest, to know him is to love him, time was not on our side to kiss you goodbye, you will live
on in our hearts and memories, the gates
of memories will never close. Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, time may pass and fade away, but memories of you will always stay. The world is a little sadder with Your passing, this day will be remembered and quietly kept, no words are needed, we'll never forget. The things we feel so deeply are the hardest things to say, you will always be remembered in a very special way."
Messages to 10 Stedyl Crescent, Richmond 7020. A service to celebrate Graham's life will be held in the Union Church, Shiel Street, Reefton, on Saturday at 2.00pm, after which Graham will be reunited with Frances at the Reefton Cemetery, Burkes Creek. Donations to the Power House Charitable Trust would be appreciated and can be made at the service.
