James DUNCAN Obituary

On Sunday, September 15, 2024, peacefully at Diana Isaac Retirement Village, aged 101 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Nessie for 75 years, loved father and father-in-law of Jim and Sue (Dunedin), Tricia and Brian, loved Grandad, and Great-Grandad. Much thanks to the hospital staff at Diana Isaac for their support over the past year. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Jim Duncan, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. The celebration of Jim's life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Saturday, September 21, at 10.00am, followed by burial at Avonhead Memorial Cemetery, 140 Hawthornden Road at 12.00pm.

Jim and Nessie were such lovely neighbours from way back.
Jim was such a 'gentle' man.

I remember Jim from the Settlers club, and he and Nessie became friends. I never heard Jim say a bad word about anyone. When we went out for diner you could bet your bottom dollar, Jim would start with the soup, I think he could have got a degree as a soup taster. Good memories thank you James Duncan.
