James ANTHONY Obituary
Passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at Christchurch Hospital on Monday August 7, 2023 aged 93 years. Beloved husband of Norma for 72 years. Dearly loved father and father-in-law Len (deceased) and Virginia, James and Mary, Denise and Michael. Much loved grandad of Nicola, Elizabeth (deceased), James; James Benjamin, Christian; Ryan and Hannah. Loved great-grandad of Harrison, Patrick, Marshall and Harper. Beloved brother of Alec, Kay and Jean (deceased). Many thanks to St John Ambulance and the staff at Christchurch Hospital for all their loving care of Jim. Messages to the Anthony family, c/- 19 London Street, Christchurch 8013. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at the John Rhind Chapel, entry from London and Whitmore Streets, Christchurch, on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 1.00pm, followed by a private cremation.

Norma and family saddened to hear of your loss. Jim was my Manager SIMU New Brighton. Fondly rembered for his sense of humor and kindness.

I worked with Jim at SIMU and AMI for many years and have great memories of him and his delightful sense of humour. He was delight to be with and around. We shared a lot of work time in our roles as branch managers in the Canterbury region.

I worked with Jim back in the 70s at SIMU He was a real character and very much a family man Over the years I saw him and Norma at the Malls or Cafes. Condolences to all the family. Barbara Chalmers
