Jacqueline STRICKLAND Obituary

Of Bishopdale, Christchurch, died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 26, 2026, aged 78. Jackie was born on June 1, 1947. The eldest of 4, Jackie was a student nurse when she met a US navy sailor stationed at Christchurch Airport. They married in 1965, had 3 children, and enjoyed 60 years of marriage. They created a beautiful garden and had regular walks at the Waimakariri River with their dogs. Jackie was preceded in death by her husband James Charley Strickland, her mother Pamela Joan Romanoff and her brother Stephen John Romanoff. She is survived by her children Lisa Wilson, James Strickland, and Cindy Lammiman; and grandchildren Sheridan, Benjamin, Ethan, Levi, and Jesse. Also surviving is Jackie's sister Louise Roswell and brother David Romanoff. People wishing to honor Jackie's life are asked to make donations to St John Ambulance in lieu of flowers/cards.
