I shared a love of family genealogy with her and was able to have a meal with her before the earthquakes. She shared with me a a file that I was never able to open. , I was connected by my grandfather, Clive Leonard Richards, who was a brother to Otto. Virginia Richards, known as Ginny , now divorced.

Dear Hugo, Your Mother was such An Amazing person and an inspiration to so many people in her Life, including myself. I was so very fortunate to have had Jackie in my Life for over 40 years, through several milestone Birthday celebration and various other Life events.
We are so sorry for yours and Sheri´s and the wider family/ whanau's loss.
When I first saw the obituary notice online, I felt so sad that I didn´t get to see Jackie again before she passed away, peacefully. We had sent her a big bunch of pink and red beautifully scented roses ( amongst her favourite flower), the Friday before she passed and I was due to visit her once back in town. Sadly I missed seeing Jackie before she passed and flew free to rest.
Your Mother will be forever in my heart. She was such a Special person.
Sending Condolences and lots of Aroha from myself and my husband Richard whom Jackie had met on several occasion. Rest in Peace Dear Friend.
