Jacobus KLUTS Obituary

KLUTS,
Jacobus Andreas (Jac):
It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Jac, aged 62 years, peacefully and prayerfully at home, on Friday, February 9, 2018. Dearly beloved husband of Julia for 36 years, much loved father to children and partners Juliana and Peter, Jacson and Dominique, Paddy and Bethan and Joy and Michael. Cherished grandfather of Lilia, Addison, Annie and expected grandchild. A special friend and family member to many. Many thanks to those involved with Motor Neurone Disease including the medical and home care teams who looked after Jac with outstanding dedication and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Motor Neurone Disease Association would be appreciated and can be made at the Mass or made online at bit.ly/jakluts0902 Messages may be addressed to the Kluts family, c/- 19 London Street, Christchurch 8013. The journey of Jac's farewell will begin with prayers and tributes of his life at a Vigil service (Poroporoaki) at Te Rangimarie Centre, 360 Gloucester Street, This Day (Wednesday), at 7.30pm. A Requiem Mass for Jac will be celebrated at St Mary's Pro-Cathedral, 373 Manchester Street, Tomorrow (Thursday), at 12 noon.

Farewell Jac, a former work mate, as a client and friend. I remember the fan, laughter, the few beers and the love of the hor ses we shared over the years. From the very early days at ZB when you came over from the coast the vivid memories of a happy young eager man are still with me. It is with the greatest sadness I note your passing and my sincere condolences go to your family. You had a wonderful soul and the world would be a famr better place if it was full of Jac's. RIP Jac.

To a mentor and friend. Your wisdom, charm, dedication and love for life lives on in the many young people you engaged with at the beginning of their journey into the world of radio broadcasting. Much love to you and your family. Warm thoughts and blessings from me and all the team at the New Zealand Broadcasting School.
