It is very sad. I do remember the time way back then in the Schwannenstr. Community in Hilden. I did not live there, but I stopped by to visit once in a while. I do know Ivo as a childhood neighbor of the Zelterstr. in Hilden.
His projects and ideas were amazing. There was an empty lot across the street. One day Ivo and some of his friends had created an entire tunnel system underneath this empty lot,I remember that my younger sister Jeannette was fascinated by the digging of tunnels into the earth. All the kids of the neighborhood came to watch and witness. A sort of triumph and celebration.I wish all his relatives and his family strength in this difficult time.

Many years ago, I lived with Ivo Kratzsch in a community in Hilden Schwanenstraße. I really loved him, because he was very engaged in our community. He thought about politics and environment and even then, he told us, that he wanted to live in New Zealand. Our community and his friends were very important to him and I am looking back on that time with the impression of a good time and friendship, even if there were also conflicts. I would like to express my condolences to his wife and his daughter. I' am sure, that
Ivo will leave a huge gap. I will add a few photos, that were taken during the time of Schwanenstrasse. Also during holiday on Largo Maggiore in 1985. With best regards
Susanne

It is so sad. Ivo left way too early. I spent many crucial years of my life with him in the WG Schwanenstr. spent. He was always a good friend to me and caught my son when he came out of the window on Schwanenstrasse. fell. I will never forget him. I wish all his relatives and his family a lot of strength.
