Ivan HATHERLEY Obituary
Ivan Laurence:
Passed away peacefully in Christchurch, on February 4, 2021, aged 74 years. Dearly loved and adored husband of the late Christine, loved by his children Amanda (Ashburton), Maria (Melbourne), Samuel (Melbourne), and Joseph, adored by his grandchildren Chloe and Tamati; Brooke and Sofia; Ivan and Beatrice; and Jayden and Claire. Dearly loved eldest son of Beryl and Laurence Hatherley (both deceased), much loved brother and brother-in-law of Dianne and Zoli, Bruce and Fiona (Sydney), Peter and Julie, and Jennie (Auckland). Ivan was a kind and caring uncle, and all his nieces and nephews have fond memories of him. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Ivan Hatherley, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. A Celebration of Ivan's life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Friday, February 12, at 10.00am, followed by interment at Avonhead Park Cemetery.

To ivan family we are very sad ivan has passed away. Ivan and Christine were good neighbours in our cul-de-sac I van was always friendly to talk to. I have fond memories of chrstine in her garden and her beautiful cats together again rest in peace.

Fond memories of Ivan. Ivan was my boss for 5-6 years - I was his secretary for A.H & A.W Reed Publishes. What a great boss and friend to have - what fun times we had Ivan.
