Passed away peacefully at Granger House, Greymouth, surrounded by family, on April 30, 2025, aged 96. Dearly loved wife of the late Geoff, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Lois and Murray Butcher (Palmerston North), and Keith and Karen (Runanga), loved grandmother of Rachael, Andrew, Sarah, and Geoff, loved great-grandmother of Courtney, Christina, Charlee, and Conan, loved great-great-grandmother of Cataleya, and Opal, and a loved sister, sister-in-law, aunty, cousin, and friend. Messages to 31 Duncan Street, Runanga 7803. A Memorial Service for Irene will be held in the William Sampson Memorial Chapel, Tainui Street, This Day (Tuesday) at 12 noon. Irene's ashes will then be interred with Geoff at the Karoro Lawn Cemetery.
