Died peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, aged 77, on Monday, October 14, 2024. Born in Lefaga, Samoa, to the late Fuataga Valele and late Malia Valele (nee Smith), and raised in Malie and Safotu. Cherished wife of Mulipola Seiloa Tilali Fe'ī Lui. Treasured mother to Elisapeta (Pu'eomanu) and the late Ray Humphries, Margaret and Tiketi Saumalu, Ana Mulipola, Losalia and Neil Martin; Ma'auifanua Mulipola, Anitele'a Mulipola, and Laupalema Mulipola, Adored nana to the late Jeanette, Liam and CJ, Nathan and Bri, Mahlon and Abby, Aoraki, Elia, Malia, Lui and Macy. Loved great-grandma to Miracle, Maya, Awhi, Manaia, Ihaia, and Koah. Precious sister to Tusani Olo, Lina Tafa, Simo Valele, the late Pio Valele, Makelita Soifua. Endeared aunty to many nieces and nephews.
Tāofi le Mālō
In accordance with Mum and Dad's wishes, for simplicity, we will not be practising traditional ceremonial customs, including si'i. We deeply appreciate everyone's love and respect for Mum and kindly ask for your understanding. A Requiem Mass will be held on Friday, October 18, at 11.00 am, St Gregory's Church, (Catholic Parish of Christ the Redeemer), 26 Cotswold Ave, Bishopdale, Christchurch, followed by refreshments.
