Ian STEWART Obituary
STEWART, Ian McDonald:Dearest Ian passed away peacefully on February 10, 2022, in his 92nd year. Loved by wife Meredith for 68 years, and by Murray and Maritza, Lynne and Phillip, Susan and David, and Dean (deceased) and Lisa, grandchildren Arran, Sam and Jazzan, Thomas, Zachary and Sara, Sonjah and Joel, Madeline, and great-grandchildren Boaz and Lucius. Ian loved life and more than that he loved people. Mountains he climbed, skied, tramped and cycled. The sea he swam, surfed life saved, canoed, yachted and fished. He was a businessman, especially a teacher, and he loved God. Closed funeral was held on Friday, February 18. Copies of the service video, Ian's eulogy and slideshow are available through Hope Funerals. Many thanks to St Johns, Christchurch Hospital, and so many others who surrounded us with love and prayers.

Dear Meredith and all the Stewart clan,
We send you our sincerest condolences on the passing of Ian, a much loved and special man. Michael has particularly fond memories of him: his beautiful and cheeky humour, strong support of John and Shirley and of Craigieburn, where he made many special lifetime bonds. With much sympathy from us, now living in France.
