Ian McINNES Obituary
Passed away at home with family by his side, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, aged 74 years. Beloved husband of Judy. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Emma and Mark, Ryan and Andi, Juliet and Matt, Fraser and Sani. Much loved Grandad of Finn, Isla and Ava. Will be sadly missed by the extended family, many colleagues and friends. Many thanks to all those who contributed to the care of Ian. Messages to the McInnes family, c/- PO Box 26051, North Avon, Christchurch 8148. A funeral service for Ian will be held at the John Rhind Chapel, entry from London and Whitmore Streets, on Monday, February 2, 2026 at 1.00pm, followed by a private cremation.

To Judy and family,
Very sorry to hear of the passing of Ian, he will be sorely missed.
Through EDL Brisbane, Ian was the guy who gave our family the single break we needed in 2006, and the fact remains that Genco Energy Group would today unlikely even exist without that. We have shared many ups and downs with Ian since, but to this day the Sollitt family have never forgotten or been unappreciative of where our start in the energy business came from. Thanks Ian.
