I'm sure Paul Garratt up in Tauranga will join me in wishing to mark the passing of yet another of the TMSLSC Juniors of the 1950s. Ian and I were good mates back then and we did at least one good thing together - we swatted together in the sandhills for a School Cert paper the next day and both passed it. We also did a bit of a silly thing of which we were both a little boastful - we pushed our bicycles in a perpendicular line right up to the Godley Head Road from the back of the Row and then, with only fleeting success at times, rode them back down the same way! After those days our paths only crossed once when Maureen and I took over the flat in Dee Why Sydney in 1961 that Ian and John Snoep had rented when they left in a big motorised surf boat to go to the UK, Fond memories, Olly Pitcaithly.

Loved partner and friend of Ann. Special Ian to Ann’s children and grandchildren and extended family for the past 13 years. Special friend to Steve Farrant and Gail Thompson. My grateful thanks to the Special Unit at Anthony Wilding for their love, support and respect for Ian and myself for the past year.
Ian will be sadly missed.
