Ian DOODY Obituary
His wishes were granted - Ian passed away at Oxford Hospital, at the place where he was born. Dearly loved and devoted husband of Wendy, loving and kind father and father-in-law of Nicola, and Andy, and a special dad of Simon Horler, cherished Grandad of Fergus, special Grandad Nod to Robert, Catherine, Mackenzie, and Courtney. Loved twin son of the late Kelvin and Jean Doody. A loved brother and brother-in-law of Wayne and Judy, Jimmy and June, and the late Sam and Norma, Laurence (deceased) and Yvonne, and the late Eleanor and Grant Kidd, Lois and Bevan Frahm. Loved and respected friend, colleague, and community member. Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Oxford Hospital and Medical Centre for their exceptional and compassionate care of Ian. In lieu of flowers, donations to Dementia Canterbury or the Heart Foundation in memory of Ian would be appreciated and may be made directly online at dementiacanterbury.org.nz and heartfoundation.org.nz. A celebration of Ian's life will be held in our Rangiora Chapel, Wai-mana, 92 Kippenberger Avenue, Rangiora, on Friday, January 10, at 10.00am, private interment to follow.
