Born May 26, 1925, Waimate, died October 17, 2021, Levin. Dearly loved husband of Freda for 69 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Carole and Simon Smith, Lyn and Ray Burgess (Brisbane), and Michele (Palmerston North). Loved Pa of Nicholas Smith (Christchurch) and Eleanor Smith (London). The family wish to thank the staff of Madison Rest Home for the care of Ian in recent years. A service for Ian will be held at The Funeral Home, 545 Queen Street, Levin on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 1.30pm. A lot has passed under the bridge of life. I first met Ian in Christchurch 1970 when I moved here after basic technician training to do more specialised work under Ian's supervision.
Then 20 years later when I came back again, this time I met at his place with the subject of Family History. Barry P.
