On October 9, 2022, at the Otago Community Hospice, loved husband of Therese (nee O'Neill), father and father-in-law of Ã?na, Daniel, Ruth and Taishi Hara, John, and Dominic; aged 61 years.
R.I.P
Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Joseph's Cathedral, Rattray St, Dunedin, at 11.00am, on Thursday, October 13, followed by private cremation. Messages can be left on Hugh's page at www.tributes.co.nz

Hugh Madden, A true Icon of Construction in Dunedin. You would always hear him before you saw him, but could never understand the words. Rest easy Hughie, thanks for being such a great character to work with.

It was so sad to hear of Hughys passing highly respected Hughy that I'd of done any for him ' very generous man always coming over with food or bloody good advices' RIP ol mate see you when I get there

All of us here at Roscoes have great memories of you. We always had a laugh and alot of the time we had to ask you to repeat yourself as your accent was still so thick :)
