EVISON, Hillary Violet:
Peacefully on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at St Helenas, in her 87th year. Much loved wife of the late Harry. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Penelope, Jeremy, and Benjamin and Catherine. Loved grandmother of Inari, Stephen, Emily, Isla, and Flynn. Loved eldest sister of Jill, Maureen, Pam, Robin, and the late Ron. Messages to the Evison family c/- PO Box 10345, Christchurch 8145. A celebration of Hillary's life will be held in the Canterbury Crematorium Chapel, corner Linwood Avenue and Keighleys Road, on Friday, October 26, at 2.00pm.

Condolences to the whanau of Hilary and I concur with Jaines comment .. She was a wonderfully open politically aware teacher and I went for my first major tramp with her at CGHS tramping club to Anticrow hut.

I had the privilege of having Hilary as a teacher at CGHS. She was a breath of fresh air in a very conservative girls' school. A very open minded woman who was willing to discuss anything in our Human Biology class.
