Henry DENT Obituary

I have been Harry's neighbour since 2009. A wonderful man who always loved to have a chat but was also very giving of his time and knowledge. His DIY skills were something to behold, incredible what he could do with those hands of his :-) to be able to drive right up to the time he took ill last year, was remarkable. I remember him saying a few years ago when he was about to drive to the West Coast to check out the white baiting that a mate would be coming with him, I said will you share the driving, Harry said I don't think so !!! he has just recovered from a heart attack so not sure if he would be up to it. Harry was around 92 at the time if I remember rightly and his mate 88. They did share the driving in the end :-) which made me laugh :-) He loved his family and always looked forward to his trips north to see them all, he would tell me. Rest in peace Harry, you were a great and so respected man in so many ways !!!!

Fondly remembering Harry for all his inspiring qualities that made a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of crossing his path. One of life's true gentleman who was an absolute stand out with his warm, gracious and joyful spirit. His winning smile could light up hearts and his deep faith in God was powerful and encouraging. Your philosophy, Harry, of always having a plan for the following day before turning the lights out the night before is a great recipe for motivation! Love it.

Harry said he had to have something planned to do for everyday he lived. He spoke recently about "While the pages of life are turning" - What are we writing on today's page?
