MAICH, Helena (nee Erceg):
2 January 1933 -29 May 2023
Passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital after a short illness. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Peter and Marian, Louise and Gary, Carl and Sharon, and Lynda, loved grandmother of Caitlin, Hazel, Hayden, Keira, and the late Rumena. Loved sister of Jock, Al, Vic, Mary, Frank, George, and Margaret (all deceased). Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Helena Maich, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. A private cremation has been held. An informal gathering for family and friends will be held at a later date.
"Eating the last of the seasons nectarines. I hold the stone in my hand, and the sudden thought came to me that plants, fruit and humans are all the same. We are born, we grow, we reproduce in an everlasting cycle."
